The North Swedish Horse is a strong draft breed from Sweden, being used for heavy work or riding. The breeds head is described to be relatively small with a slightly concave or straight profile with wide, well muscled cheeks, upright and pointed ears. Their neck is medium sized, muscular and often broadly applied to their long and well-placed shoulders, which have a slope that makes them suitable as a workhorse. North Swedish Horses have a long and well-muscled back, ending in a long and wide croup. Their body is carried by strong legs with broad joints and strong tendons.
