Connemara Pony Breeders' Societey
The Connemara is a strongly build and well proportioned pony breed from Ireland. These sturdy ponies have long and sloping shoulders, connected to clear and dry legs. The head is medium sized with warm and big eyes, as well as fine ears. Connemaras are said to move energetic and forwards. However, you can differentiate between the Eastern Type that is closer to an Arabian, the Irish Draught Type which is bigger and heavier and the Clifden Type which look like typical ponies. All Connemaras are calm and level headed and can be used in many different disciplines.
