The Clydesdale Horse Society
These majestic drafts are known for their kindness, strenght and colours. Clydesdales stand around 16 to 18.3HH and have a very muscular neck and body. Their head is fairly large im comparison to other breeds, with large, kind eyes and alert ears. Clydes often have extensive feathering on the legs and extreme winterfur, which should be kept long depending on their living conditions. These gentle gigants come in mainly bay with prominent white markings, but all other colours have been seen in the breed.
