The Irish Sport Horse is a diverse warmblood breed from Ireland that has been successful in various disciplines. They range from 15HH up to 17HH in height, with mares generally a bit smaller. They have a well set and alert head and large eyes and long ears. Their neck is well muscled and connects in a slight arch onto strong and sloping shoulders. ISH have a good strong bone structure which makes them suitable for show jumping and cross country, but their intelligent character also makes them suitable for dressage and driving.
